The Reid Family

Mark Reid is Student Pastor at Woodberry Down Church (Baptist) in Tottenham, North London. He is preparing for the Baptist Ministry at Spurgeons College in South London. Previously, Mark was a teacher of Geography and Environmental Science at a large independent 6th Form College in London. He is still a senior examiner with London Board. He is a B.Sc honours graduate in Rural Environment Studies at Wye College (University of London) and has a Ph.D in Urban and Regional Studies from the University of Birmingham.

Rhiannon Reid graduated in Physics from the University of Birmingham (where she met Mark) and worked in computing as a programmer and a teacher until she became a professional housewife and mother. She is an expert at making weird and wonderful soft toys!

Mark and Rhiannon have been married for 17 years and have two children, Michael (10) and Bethan (9). They now live in Spruce Hill Baptist Church's Manse in Walthamstow.

So why go into Christian service? It is because we believe that God has called us to share with people the most important message in the world - that they can know God, have a relationship with Him.
